Letter is address to Dear Child(refers to Edwin as a child) and it is signed Loving A.A discusses the 1st National Bank to get money. She would like to see Dear Child. She continues about the baby growing out of its clothes and that her father helps. Also, something about sending letters found in N.Y. and missing their sweetheart and father. This letter seems to have the Markhams at the different ends of the US.

California poet. Raised near Vacaville, became a schoolteacher in Coloma and later in Oakland. Became famous overnight with publication of "The Man with a Hoe," his protest against brutalization of labor, in "San Francisco Examiner" (January 15, 1899). Following this success Markham moved to New York where he scored another triumph with "Lincoln and Other Poems" (1901). He became a well-known reader of his own poems and lecturer of idealistic views, but his creative output for remainder of life ...
